Condor Airlines began introducing the U.S. market to it’s new long-haul Airbus A330neo Business Class earlier this year to rave reviews. Condor’s Business Class features 30, lie-flat (180 degree) seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access for all guests. The seat conveniently converts to a 76-inch long by 19-inch-wide bed at the touch of a button. Following initial consumer feedback, Condor is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Lück company, a division of Germany-based EuroComfort Group, to offer Business Class passengers a newly designed seven-layer mattress topper to make sleeping above the clouds even more comfortable. Lück is a leading manufacturer of high-quality pillows, mattresses, quilts, duvet covers and custom-made, sustainable products.
To ensure the best sleep possible, Condor’s Business Class also offers guests a premium pillow, a cozy 6.5-foot blanket, socks, Condor’s signature striped slippers, sleep mask and other amenities. Guests who upgrade to one of the A330neo’s “Prime Seats,” featuring even more space, also receive Condor’s signature pajamas and a premium travel kit. The A330neo whisper quiet Airspace cabin, along with a state-of-the-art air system and lighting system that can be adjusted to a night-time mode, creates the perfect environment to be lulled to sleep and arrive in Frankfurt feeling fully refreshed.
The A330neo aircraft has been introduced on Condor’s nonstop Frankfurt routes from New York/JFK, San Francisco and Seattle/Tacoma and will continue to be rolled-out on flights from Condor’s other North American gateways throughout this summer and into next year. Condor’s entire long-haul fleet will be converted to the new A330neo by 2024.
Condor has partnered with BrewDog, a beer brand from Berlin, to offer guests flying Condor’s non-stop routes a special edition “Ferien Lager,” which loosely translates to “Vacation Lager.” The lager was created exclusively for Condor Airlines and comes in a specially designed yellow striped can to match Condor’s new, eye-catching striped branding. “Ferien Lager” is a light pale that features a balanced combination of Simcoe, Sapphire, Hüll Melon, and Cascade hops. This unique blend of hops not only gives the beer a fruity flavor, but also provides an incomparable aroma. The beer will be complimentary for Business Class and Premium Economy passengers traveling to and from Condor’s 17 North American gateways this summer. Guests in Economy can enjoy BrewDog “Ferien Lager” for just 4.50 Euros.
The joint project was implemented with a great deal of passion, and it is just the beginning of what is to be a long-standing strategic alliance between the two companies.
Condor will fly to Sphinx International Airport (SPX) twice a week via its Frankfurt (FRA) hub from New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX) and Seattle/Tacoma (SEA).
The airport is located on the western edge of Cairo, close to the Pyramids of Giza.
Twice a week, Condor will bring vacationers and culture enthusiasts to the newly built and recently opened airport.
The flights from Frankfurt are operated on Mondays and Thursdays on an Airbus A320.
Connecting flights to and from Frankfurt to/from JFK, LAX and SEA are operated on Condor’s new A330neo.
In addition, U.S. travelers can take advantage of Condor’s interline partners, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue, and their network of feeder flights to JFK, LAS and SEA.
The location of the new airport is ideal. Visitors can quickly and easily reach the New Egyptian Museum and the country’s most famous landmark, the Pyramids of Giza, as well as the Sphinx itself, the airport’s namesake. It is not only the proximity to the pyramids that makes the new airport attractive; the center of the capital Cairo can be reached just as quickly. Condor guests can thus experience the unique Egyptian pyramids in a short time and then explore the metropolis of Cairo.
