Norse Atlantic launches the London Gatwick – Washington Dulles route

Norse Atlantic Airways on June 1 launched the London (Gatwick) – Washington (Dulles) route.

This is the fourth route between the UK and the US and the first connection between these two airports for the company.

On June 1, 2023, Norse Atlantic Airways celebrated the start of service from Washington, D.C. to London Gatwick. Flights will operate six times a week with fares for only $205 one-way including all taxes.

The Washington Dulles to London Gatwick flight departed at 8:25 p.m. EDT and arrived at 8:45 a.m. local time the following day. The return flight will depart London Gatwick at 3:00 p.m. local time and arrive at 6:20 p.m. EDT.

Southwest Airlines adds new nonstop service between Washington (DCA) and Memphis and Albany

Southwest Airlines today announced more nonstop service to the nation’s capital in an expansion of summer travel options for Customers by bringing two additional nonstop routes to Reagan National Airport (DCA).

From July 11 through Sept. 4, 2023, Southwest® will offer additional nonstop service between:

  • Memphis, Tenn., and Washington, D.C. (DCA) with one-round trip per day
  • Albany, N.Y., and Washington, D.C. (DCA) with one round-trip per day

JetBlue adds three new routes for the summer

JetBlue Airways today announced three new routes launching this summer – enabled in part by its Northeast Alliance (NEA) with American Airlines – which will further increase competition and choice for travelers across the Northeast. Seats are out for sale starting today with fares as low as $59(a).

New York City

Enabled by the NEA, JetBlue’s new service between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Washington’s Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) will deliver a customer-centric alternative for travelers across the busy Northeast Corridor that has historically been dominated by high-fare legacy carriers.

Norse Atlantic Airways adds four new U.S. routes from London Gatwick

Norse Atlantic Airways is further expanding at London Gatwick Airport (LGW). The airline is now the #1 airline from Gatwick to the USA.

Norse Atlantic expands again at LGW

Seven US destinations:

  • London to Washington, D.C. will launch on June 1, 2023 operating up to six flights a week
  • London to Los Angeles will launch on June 30, 2023 operating daily.
  • London to San Francisco will launch on July 1, 2023 operating three times a week.
  • London to Boston will launch on September 2, 2023 operating five times a week.

Alaska Airlines expands in San Diego with new coast-to-coast nonstops

Alaska Airlines is adding new, daily nonstop flights between San Diego and both Washington, D.C. (IAD) and Tampa (TPA). Service to Washington, D.C. starts June 15, and service to Tampa begins on Oct. 5. We’re also adding new daily nonstop service between San Diego and Eugene, Oregon (EUG) on June 15.

Alaska Airlines is starting new nonstop service from San Diego to Washington, D.C., Tampa and Eugene, Oregon.

Alaska will serve 35 nonstop destinations from San Diego with the most nonstops of any airline. This includes flights to the Northeast, Northwest, throughout California, Mexico, Florida and to all four major islands in Hawaii, along with other locations.
