Southern Airways Express has decided to shut down its Marianas Southern Airways (Saipan).

The subsidiary will close its doors on April 1, 2023.

Marianas Southern Airways started operations in July 2022.

The airline is blaming the current Governor Arnold Palacios who is not honoring the contract signed by the previous governor.

The 3 Tecnam P-2012 will be transferred to Mokulele Airlines along with a third SAAB 340B.
