Vietjet Air is expanding into Australia from Ho Chi Minh City with lower cost flights.

Melbourne (Tullamarine) is the first Australian destination with Sydney and Brisbane to follow soon.

Airbus A330 aircraft are being assigned to the new Australian routes.

Flight VJ81 departed Ho Chi Minh City on April 8 arriving in Melbourne the same day with Airbus A330-300 VN-A811.

The route will be operated three days a week.
