Lufthansa Group is planning to launch a new regional airline called City Airlines. The new subsidiary will be launched in mid-year.

The new carrier will focus on short to medium-haul routes with Airbus aircraft.

Lufthansa CityLine will provide technical support.

The Group made this statement:
